What to do when your chicken can’t walk
Chicken don’t have much of leg disease or paralysis like other animals, so we won’t be talking much on why your chicken can’t walk.
There are three reasons why your chicken can’t walk, these are
1. Mareks disease. This is known as free range paralysis, it affects birds from three weeks of age upwards, when chicken have these disease, they won’t be able to work. They would be paralyzed. The solution is to prevent it’s occurrence by vaccinations of chicken at 3weeks of age. Most hatchery vaccinate their chicks immensely immediately they hatched. Hence no need or reason to re vaccinate when they reached 3weeks.

To avoid it, please collect your birds from good and reputable farms
2. Lack of Calcium : when you give your chicken feed that are lacking Calcium, or not having sufficient calcium, the chicken would have a weak legs or paralysis, so they won’t be able to walk.

The solution is to go to any better store and buy calcium, give them calcium injection, or add it to their water.
To prevent this from happening, always give your chicken feed that are rich in calcium.
3. External Parasites: external parasites can be the cause of chicken paralysis, the reason why your chicken can’t walk. To treat it, go any vet store, buy ivermectin, inject your chicken with it. Ivermectin is an anti parasitic drug that handle external parasites.
