4) Fish Pond

You can also farm tilapia fish by putting them in a fish pond, feeding them, and selling them for money when they are large enough.

Once the fish are of edible size, they can be sold in a variety of locations such as markets, eateries, hotels, restaurants, bars, and many other locations where tilapia fish can be consumed.

Stardew Valley Fishing Guideline

Before you can catch a fish while fishing, you must first complete a mini-game.

A small window with a fish icon and a bar will appear; you must tap a button to move the bar up and down while keeping the fish inside the bar.

When the bar and the icon do not overlap, a meter to the side will begin to fill but will decrease.

Fill the meter to catch the fish, but if it runs out, the fish will escape.

Stardew Valley Walleye: Stardew valley fishing Guide

Stardew Valley Walleye is a fish that can be caught in rivers, lakes, and forest ponds when it rains during the fall.

Although it claims winter and fall, additional research indicates that they can only be caught in the fall.

Walleye can reproduce every three days when placed in a fish pond. The pond’s initial capacity is three fish, but it can be increased to ten by completing three quests.

How to Farm Walleye

The best thing to do with this specific fish is to sell it. It’s fairly easy to set up a Walleye farm and sell them for extra Gold.

Like most fishes, the Stardew Valley Walleye can be used to create a few different dishes but the more important use for this is in two different bundles for the Community Center.

Initially, players can hold three fish in their pond, but if they complete all of the fishing quests, the pond capacity can reach ten.

To increase the capacity of the Walleye in a pond, retrieve the following items and toss them into the pond.

  • Capacity 5: Acorns x3, Bug Meat x10, Maple Seeds x3, Pine Cones x3
  • Capacity 7: Gold Ore x3, Maple Syrup x1, Mixed Seeds x5
  • Capacity 10: Crayfish x1, Honey x1, Jade x2, Periwinkle x1

It will take three days for Walleyes to reproduce in a pond, so players will need to wait a few weeks to reach full capacity.

The offspring can be sold for a base of 105g, which can be increased to 131g or 157g, if the player is a Fisher or Angler, respectively.

Fish in Stardew Valley also have different behavior patterns – there are five in total.

  • Mixed – they move in a basic pattern
  • Smooth – they move with a steady, slower pattern
  • Sinker – they move with a faster downwards acceleration
  • Floater – they move with a faster upwards acceleration
  • Dart – they move with a random pattern and are more difficult to predict and catch

To access these, you first have to complete at least one Crafts Room bundle.
