4 SIMPLE STEP ON HOW TO AVOID WASTING FEED
1. Never fill the feeders more than halfway. it’s better to put little feed at a time to avoid spoilage
2. Keep the top, or lip, of the feeder on a level with the birds’ backs. This means adjusting feeders or changing to larger feeders as the situation demands. Take it that, the crop of the bird should be at the level where the bird eats from, so from the ground the feeder should be as high as the back of the bird
3. Use hanging, tube-type feeders for brooding or con-finement-rearing. They may be adjusted easily to prevent waste. round feeders take more birds than non round feeders.
4. Don’t overfeed your chicken, all animals are the same. If you give your chicken excess feed than what they can eat, they would waste it by playing with the rest of the feed after eating
